Lime Mortar Project: Facade Restoration Project, Middleton Street

Facade restoration project.Cement render coating was unsightly and causing the decay of the stonework behind it. Once removed it was apparent that the decay was so bad that the full facade required to be restored. The stonework was cut back then painstakingly restored to recreate the original broached surface finish. The fine ashlar joints that were formed were then pointed using lime putty to recreate the original look of the building.
